SI Joint Dysfunction Conditions We Treat

We treat most sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunctions. SI joint dysfunction is common in athletes, women who are pregnant or have given birth recently, individuals with an uneven gait, people who had lower back surgery, and those with labor-intensive jobs.

Sacroiliac joint dysfunction conditions we treat:

  • SI Joint Dysfunctions
  • Pelvic Fractures
  • Pubis dysfunction

What Causes SI Joint Dysfunction?

Sacroiliac joint pain can be caused by too much movement or too little movement. Too much movement in the sacroiliac joint can cause instability in the pelvis leading to lower back and hip pain. Too little movement or fixation of the SI joint can cause pain similar to sciatica pain, which radiates down the leg.

SI joint dysfunction can have one or more causes. Physical therapy and personal training can aid in relieving inflammation and facilitate a quick recovery. Rehabilitation for sacroiliac joint dysfunctions may include stretches to help alleviate muscle tension, strength training, and targeted exercises.

NLPT is hands down the best
physical therapy team in the Santa Clarita Valley. Amy and her team are extremely knowledgeable and
invested in their patients. My husband first went to NLPT after having both of his shoulders repaired. His strength and recovery have been incredible. I also received services after experiencing severe back pain and having surgery on my wrist. Not only have they helped both of our recovery, but they genuinely care for their patients. The friendly atmosphere and family like comradery makes at an amazing place to recovery after experiencing pain.

I am just a few days shy of 69. I workout 5-6 days/wk & run 4 OCR races/yr (Spartan/GRIT/EPIC). I began having pain in both arms (right being much worse) & my left knee. I heard so many people at my gym raving about Amy at Next Level that I decided to make an appointment. To my surprise, I found out Medicare would cover this. First visit, Amy diagnosed the root problems that were causing my pain & began treatment. My first race of the year, the GRIT was coming up in a few weeks. By the day of the race, my pain level was dramatically lowered but still hindered me. Today, I did the LA EPIC & was not hindered at all!

I was referred here by a friend who had only positive things to say about Next Level. I am 61 years old and have a few pain issues including sciatica, back, neck and jaw pain. Amy, Brian and the entire staff are very knowledgeable and skilled. We tried different modalities to see what worked best. I have been to other PT offices that have a tendency to do the same thing over and over. This is where Next Level is different. They ask questions and want feedback. Also, this place beams nothing but positivity even though you are there do deal with pain and rehabilitation issues. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming. The name Next Level really does represent what this place is all about.
