Courtney Hearn is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Next Level Physical Therapy and Athletic Performance. Health and Fitness have played a huge role in Courtney’s life, graduating from Western Connecticut State University, earning a bachelor's in Health Promotion Studies with a concentration in Wellness Management. She has worked as a Health Fitness Specialist before pursuing her career in Physical Therapy. She would teach group exercise classes, perform individual training sessions, and would help run employee incentive programs.
Courtney graduated PTA school in 2018 and moved from Connecticut to California after graduating. She has worked mainly in outpatient settings and gained experience working with all types of age groups and diagnoses. She has taken CEU’s on manual techniques including ASTYM and cupping, as well as, running courses including Clinical Running Essentials and Strength Training for Female Runners Running Through the Life Span. She enjoys working one-on-one with patients helping each patient achieve their individualized goals as they progress through their rehabilitation program. She believes in treating the patient as a whole to help them achieve their prior level of function.
Courtney has volunteered in health care facilities including the EMS department while in school. She has also participated in marathons, half-marathons, and 5k’s where donations are made in supporting Cancer research.
When not at work, Courtney enjoys a variety of outdoor activities that include running, snowboarding, surfing, going to the gym, and hiking. She is also in an adult kickball league that plays every Sunday.
