Alyssa has been playing sports as long as she could remember. She started playing softball at the age of 6. Her biggest achievement in softball was winning district, state, and nationals undefeated with her 12-under team from Northridge Little League. In 2012, she also came in second place in the 18-under ASA national tournament. Alyssa played softball at Granada Hills Charter High School in Junior varsity (1 year) and Varsity (3years). She also coached softball at Granda Hills Charter high school, first starting off as a volunteer from 2012 to 2015. Then in 2016 became an assistant coach for JV softball. Her interest in physical therapy began at the age of 14 when she injured her shoulder just after almost completing her first year on JV. In 2016, she completed her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from CSUN. She then decided in 2017 to go back to school to gain more experience working with patients at CSUN’s Center of Achievement before continuing her journey to become a physical therapist. In 2020, she received her Master’s in Kinesiology: Adapted Physical Activity from CSUN. When she isn’t caring for her patients, she enjoys walking down Main Street at the Happiest Place on Earth and eating the many snacks they have to offer. She also enjoys watching reality shows, sports, and watching movies with her family and dog.
