Background

Amanda Anil

Physical Therapy Aide

Amanda's passion for fitness and sports medicine was ignited during her high school years as a dedicated basketball player, where she developed a strong interest in fitness and nutrition. This interest led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science at UCLA, where she deepened her understanding of the human body. Seeking to further explore the connection between movement and medicine, she continued her education at UC Berkeley, earning a Master of Engineering in Bioengineering with a focus on Mechanobiology.

Amanda's experience spans both research and clinical practice. She was a pivotal contributor in a student-led research study on ACL injury prevention in female athletes and has played a key role in immunotherapy studies at UCLA's Department of Neurosurgery. Her clinical experience as a medical assistant further honed her skills in patient care, providing a well-rounded foundation for her future in healthcare.

As a first-generation Indian-American, Amanda is passionate about advocating for preventative healthcare through exercise and nutrition for people of all ages. Outside of work, she stays active through hiking, swimming, gym workouts, Muay Thai, and various sports.

Amanda is eager to explore her interests in sports medicine and physical therapy at Next Level and looks forward to helping patients achieve their health and fitness goals.
